From Bach to The Beatles
Jacob Souders (b. 2001) is a composer, performer, arranger, record producer, and visual artist from the Kansas City, MO. He is currently studying music composition (B.M.) and music theory (B.M.) at the University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory, and studying with world-renowned composers Paul Rudy Chen Yi, Yotam Haber, and Zhou Long. Jacob has collaborated with others to create music for a video game, an architecture project, two short films, and has written for various chamber ensembles.

Jacob draws musical inspiration from a variety of sources, including blues, jazz, classical, and 20th century avant-garde, but most importantly from the works of The Beatles, along with other music groups from the 1960s and 1970s.

In the performance world, Jacob is a multi-instrumentalist, specializing in cello and guitar. In addition, he plays piano, electric bass, and drums. He has worked as a studio manager and record producer both independently and for Music Ascension in upstate New York, helping to facilitate creative environments with the people he works with.
